24 debrief session
(paul: if you aren't current in your episodes then don't read this)
1: chloe is my hero.
2: ryan, my roomate, thinks chloe and edgar stiles are going to hook up. i couldn't disagree more.
3: walt cummings is involved in a larger scheme--some kind of cia plot to destabilize russia and bring us back the cold war. why else do we care at all about moscow? he must believe he is acting for the good of the country. plus, no one but the cia could know jack is alive.
4: stewart (is that the name of the dude up with whom chloe hooked?) is a good guy. he was duped by 'agent cummings,' as he referred to him, who is being duped by another higher up (the dude who is always on a head-set by a menacing screen with a lot of numbers).
5: do you think president palmer is really dead?
6: chase (kim's husband) will return somehow.
7: i keep saying it, and petey hates it, but jack is going to die this season. what better ending for 24 than jack's death?
8: before jack dies, however, he's going to find the first lady and somehow carry on his seed. plus, they will find the nerve gas together.
9: jack will get captured in this next episode by all the president's men but escape because that's what he does.
10: jack's kill count right now for the season is at 8.
11: samwise the brave--the higher up from division--is a mole. he is also rudy.
12: jack's going to kill samwise the brave because no hobbit can cut it at ctu.
12: the 24 parties at our house will continue to grow in popularity: all are invited.
13: isn't sad that i've spent almost 30 minutes so far on this post?
14: i think my dad might be watching this season. if so, then 24 has succeeded in its purpose.
15: jack kills people with scissors.
16: tony will speak for the first time at 3:13 pm.
17: jack already has one broken rib. how many other things will happen to his body?
if you aren't watching this one during the season then you shouldn't have read this post. if you are then i commend you. now watch arrested development because it is much better.

spencer, stuart, they are from the wright family.
about samwise: precisely because he is a noble hobbit from the shire is the reason the writers would pen him in as a benedict arnold.
stevey_
why, stephen, why? how is it that the only commnets on this post our from the three lonely young (and totally hot and available men) in this apartment? you would think we could just sit down together and debrief.
and nice job stealing everyone of my predictions (at least 5 of them) and posting them under your idea box (ie. your precious we-b log. (funny that looks like "we blog," which we do)
Arrested Development is better. I have not watched 24 and I don't plan to mostly because this is season 5 and I do not have the patience nor the desire to go back and watch the previous 4 seasons which I would inevitably have to do to make sense of the show and because I am anal like that. Secondly, I hate feeling like I am obligated and committed to watching a show every single week because if I miss it I am going to miss out on something vitally important. Thirdly, I don't like tv running my life. I have too many other things to do with my time like... taking over the world one race at a time.
nikki: all invalid points. you are rationalizing missing out on one of the best things life has to offer with bad excuses. 24 doesn't run our lives; it enriches them. you are missing out on rich social intercourse because of your pride. become a part of the cultural revolution that is 24. tape record it and watch it whenever you want (that's what we do). speaking of running your life: waking up at six every morning and thinking of nothing much else.....?
petey: you are jealous that i thought of this post first.
nikki_
contrary to normal discourse, i agree with stevey on every point. you couldn't be more off on your ideas. i haven't seen season 3 or 4 and yet have no problems keeping up with season 5, and all 8 of jack bauer's kills thus far.
stephen_
not jealous at all buddy. where you can't explain all of your thoughts even in a lond-winded tirade of not-that-original ideas about 24, i find brevity within my own we-blogging.
(for a real and original blog, go to peterfrandsen@blogspot.com)
ps. pardon the self promotion and inherent exhibitionism
If Kim shows up again, I'm not watching anymore.
President Palmer has to be alive. Or didn't he have a son??
Stevie... I don't know if I like this watch-during-the-season business. You have to re-remember everything that happened... only the excitement has decomposed itself during the last 7 days. And during the commercials (even when we fast-forward them) I just get annoyed and the suspense of the ticking clock has gone. Crushed. The only reason I'm watching during the season is because I'm on bedrest.
Nikki... you should definately watch 24... any season, anytime (except maybe during the season).
Samwise is not a mole, just a really big nerd.
President Logan should be impeached.
Chase can return to the show, but NOT Kim.
Petey and Stevey: since I wasn't stating facts but mere opinions I cannot be wrong. I take the hit that running runs (no pun intended) my life these days, however 24 will not enrich my life but just crowd it with more meaningless primetime fodder. I am certainly not missing out on social intercourse, as you say, as I have plenty of social engagements on my calendar as it is. Even tape recording it would still derive some commitment on my part, and I am a commitment phobe.
nikki: facts? i'm afraid not. you were stating biased opinions. i was never arguing 24 would add to your social engagement calendar (that's up to the all-star 8th ward); however, it will enrich every engagement in which you participate.
meaningless primetime fodder? i know that it might sound nice written, but do you realize that jack needs us? this is serious business and relevant to every part of our life.
amy: the fact that you are on here commenting (and enjoying it?) adds to my argument that watching it during the season brings happiness and joy.
peter: you are now disallowed from commenting ( just like i disallowed liz from commenting on yours-how does that make you feel? (even if that does lessen my comment count)). i will not allow you to promote your half-thought-out blogspace in my delirious dominion.
amy: impeachment process takes to long. assasination is the only way. that is how jack is going to die. he will take out the president and then aaron (the ever-faithful secret service agent) will kill jack.

ryan: true that. but not double true.
i think you're all ridiculous, except you peter. you seem to be the whole one who realizes the madness of this all.
skinny_
i can tell you are an intelligent man.
skinny and peter: you are both are saying things hitler would say.
stevey_
hilter comparison? that's as weak as clinton's "plantation comparison." i wish you weren't resorting to the weak man's debate when he knows he has been defeated in an intellectual show-down or maybe better stated, a "shake-down."
(for more on the "shake-down" see peterfrandsen.blogspot.com)
petey and stevey: you are both ridiculous.
ad hominem are some of the most effective attacks. besides, why don't you take a look at your own arguments and then read mein kampf.
nikki: you haven't seen 24. arrested development doesn't touch 24 (except it's funnier). you all need to read osc's review of 24--he's right on as usual.
http://www.hatrack.com/osc/reviews/everything/2006-01-15.shtml
1:chloe rocks
2:poor edgar
5:president palmer is dead
6:chase--yes kim--please no
8:no seed swapping but they will find the nerve gas together
11:samwise gamgee sure looks like a mole--but that's an easy out
101: Audrey created this mess for herself and she deserves every bit of emotional trauma she experiences.
102: jack tortures people illegally. he will torture the dude in front of the menacing screen with lots of numbers
103: AD won't find a network (cable or otherwise)
paul_
AD will always be broadcast on MSNBC.
My Soul's Needs Broadcasting Company. always and forever.
paul: its good to finally have you back. i was worried. vegas was good?
you are right about 24 but wrong about arrested development.
Thought you should know your dad WAS keeping up with 24 UNTIL this week. I think he needs a little motivation--any thoughts?? We know he's still interested b/c he asks questions.
And okay... impeachment takes too long. Pres. Logan is completely inept. I'm hoping that pres. what's-his-name (whom we didn't even really get to know until the episode Air Force One went down in season 4) is still in a coma and will wake up to save the administration.
Spencer spells his name SpenSer. But he's old news anyway.
Jack wouldn't assassinate Pres. Logan. Aaron would never kill Jack. Jack might kill Walter, and I might cheer.
How many people do we think Jack will take out this season? I'll say 48 (two for every hour). I'm glad Stephen is keeping track of things like this.
Congrats on making the band... Whisky River here you come. Wish we could come to your performance on Wed.
Maybe we should start a web sight like.....President Palmer's not dead dot com? mom
thank you amy. thank you.
ok, one thing: with 24 you have to think counter-intuitively. if you think that it won't happen, then it probably will. booyes.
Congrats on the band brother. I listened to a bit of their music the other night. They sound bluegrass and it should be fun. Just don't contribute to the flowing river of whisky and you should be okay.
ma: you propose a good idea. we will make it so.
jonny: whisky-river.com
paul: you say bluegrass like its a bad thing.
I said bluegrass as the thing that it is. You know there is bluegrass that I like and bluegrass that I like less.
Drew Williams spoke in our ward today (to the youth) and he was excited to hear about your acceptance into the band. He put out a duet album in November and he currently plays with Peter
Brienholt.
