nashville nastiness
here it is: the live blog thread for tonight. 9:00 PM eastern time. please come. feel free to post thoughts, reactions, etc.
honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory.
well...so far there has been no game changing moment for mccain. that's bad news for him, based on the current polling. this may be the final nail in the coffin for mcglib.
After watching this I can't beleive that McCain is the republican nomination. He is flat out awful. Obama might be young and inexperienced but much more presidential and just seems to understand what is going on much more than McFriend.
I've said for a while that i'm for obama, doesn't mean it can't change but if election was today thats what'd it be, to bad I'm in utah and my vote won't really matter that much.
The debate was boring. Larry King's interview with Michelle Obama was much more interesting. She is a classy, articulate lady who took the 'high road' on every controversial question asked. She has substance, but is not strident. She was extremely gracious. Impressive! Aunt Shauna

what's he talking about? there is no mandate in barack's plan...
people have got to be held accountable for purchasing insurance. you can't live in america without it.
mcfriend.
not funny....
the comb over rears its head in the debate.
bible quote: boo yeah!
trying to be funny but not, I don't think I could handle listening to him for 4 yrs.
stevie: agreed.
nice question tom.
brokaw: nice question. i like i like.
i don;t think his vocal chords will be functioning in 4 years.
mclame's nastiness is easily rubutted right now.
yes. barack doesn't hesitate. health care is a right. hey. i didn't know that about barack's mom...
good answer here barack.
mccain says he is nervous about government mandated stuff, and he wants to be president? is that normal?
good point james.
mike: it's normal for republican...at least most republicans...
hey. don't knock the ED.
children realatively cheap to insure! I don't think so, my insurance tripled when I added my kid.
stephen hussein:
zing.
true darin. but it shouldn't have tripled. they are healthy and it feels like an insurance company ploy.
barack is a better advocate for the people here.
Paul: ED???? Erectile Dysfunction?
shouldn't have but did.
he makes me nervous with the 'government plan'...
have you read the plan, paul?
ha ha ha mccain.
McChuckle
strange question phil.
he seems to be generally more cohesive and practical tonight. if not always.
i hate johnny's jokes.
nice stevie.
'short career'
more mcnastiness.
on the job training? who is he to talk with Palin at his side?
zing!!!!!! barack with the comeback...
palin's getting 'on the job training' on how to be barely coherent. let alone deal with national crises jonny.
ha. the perfect image: mccain as a cheerleader.
palin is fully trained. executive experience. wink wink.
mikey: agreed.
wait...james, are you winking at me?
i wink at anyone who will find me adorable and electable
wonderful things mccain wants to do.
mccain and i do agree.
good barack. good.
iraq does not have a surplus of $79 billion. it's down to something like $29 billion now. he needs to stop repeating the $79 billion number.
you two are so cute.
i need to go to bed before work..:(
you go stevie. criticizing barack.
james: i do find you cute and electable.
and also i find the girl sitting behind brokaw cute and electable.
oh no. don't leave us paul.
i'm happy about tom's questions.
mcchuckle revisiting iraq again. it's done and gone mcchuckle.
there he goes again. using the word victory when petraeus himself doesn't.
look foward.
"what are the limits of our capability are..."
i'll wait just for you stevie.
mccain: blah, blah, blah.
no no paul...do what you must.
show strength stephen. don't take this lightly.
american blood our most precious asset? I know some vamps that would agree....
yeah, every time he calls me his friend i stop listening to his opinions on iraq
oh stevie, you read meyer's series? good for you.
i like the F section.
good question katie.
don't ignore!
no paul. i watch true blood.
c'mon barack. answer the question. don't explain what happened.
it makes me happy every time obama says pakistan.
true blood is a sad and crass attempt at recreating what meyer created so beautifully.
threadjack. sorry.
i like barack's purple tie. it takes a real man to pull off a purple tie...
purple tie. agreed.
paul: don't criticize what you don't understand. twilight came after the books upon which true blood is based.
kill.
crush.
"we will kill bin laden. we will crush al quaeda"
"my hero is teddy roosevelt, because i knew him..."
stevie: it is still shallow and predictable.
tough words from obama
what is mccain talking about? his own veep said the exact same thing. ridiculous.
great job mccain. childish rebuttal before responding
mccain has said he would attack as well.
although i agree with him.
obama was wrong to make that statement so strongly without deference to pakistan.
paul: have you watched it?
stevie: true.
mccain is saying the same thing. bomb but do it quietly.
tom brokaw: the white hired help to the black man barack obama.
mccain: if he gets a follow-up. i get a follow-up. i'm childish.
mcChuckle.
mcchuckle. he. he. he.
barack is lowering the boom!!!!!
point for obama.
here is mcain's disturbing bomb bomb bomb iran song in front of a whole group. not just one veteran buddy.
nice try mclamester.
i'll get him no matter what?
i think that was a good point by mccain, although I am no military maverick myself.
true that paul. he was at this type of town hall event.
mcmendacious
ohio opinion dips everytime mccain attacks like that
honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory. honor and victory.
if he keeps saying it, maybe it will work, right?
mccain is so proud of that KGB reference to putin.
is mccain telegraphing his feelings about the most powerful man is russia everytime he belittles him like that?
he is paul. he is.
paul: nine minutes until you can go to sleep....
sorry, that was inappropriate.
well...so far there has been no game changing moment for mccain. that's bad news for him, based on the current polling. this may be the final nail in the coffin for mcglib.
um....is amy reading this?
what???? you can't delete that comment. i demand you put it back up.
too late.
hey. mccain is no longer using his microphone.
we've got a lull here. boring ending.
did he forget how to use his mic?
mcalzheimers.
'maybe' charming, john
they've gotta understand i'm a maverick over there in russia.
terry sherry? i'm so jealous. i want that name so bad.
tricky question terry.
a sweet moment of handshakes and hugs.
are we repeating this again. enough of the pre-conditions john. we've beat this to death.
i think the defining moment of the night was obama's "mccain says i don't understand" comment.
"game-changer"
when did that word take root in the lexicon? it seems it has been showing up quite a bit lately.
did darin and mike go to sleep already?
i think it's a hip term.
i'm going to use it
g'night. let me know if i miss something unboring.
im asleep but still here
last question from....THE INTERNET
i like obama's diplomacy policies
good night paul. obama just made a funny.
and everyone actually laughed at it, unlike mccain's comments.
because mccain's being a doucher.
yeah. i agree mike. pretty boring here at the end...
ahhh jimbo. how right you are.
wrap it up b-rock
did he just say "our generation?" i hope he doesn't think the two of us are from the same generation...
CNN analyst's scorecards: obama overwhelmingly has the victory. i just turned it back to cnn.
whoa. cindy miccain's dress is bright.
well, stick a fork in me...
barack takes it. no question.
will do, mike.
where was jonny tonight?
did mccain just refuse to shake obama's hand?
After watching this I can't beleive that McCain is the republican nomination. He is flat out awful. Obama might be young and inexperienced but much more presidential and just seems to understand what is going on much more than McFriend.
Darin
uh. same answers. new stage.
not that exciting.
but def more interesting that stuffing
envelopes.
darin: good to have you. have you decided your vote yet?
petey: hurry back.
yippee. mccain '08. i'm out.
peace, jimmy james.
I've said for a while that i'm for obama, doesn't mean it can't change but if election was today thats what'd it be, to bad I'm in utah and my vote won't really matter that much.
nice darin. you'll count in the popular vote, which will be at least symbolic.
i'm out, ya'll. good night.

Aunt Shauna
shauna: i agree with you. thanks for the comment.
