alien robotic lafe-logic
Um….i have recently been reading Lafe’s web log. He has posed some interesting ideas. His latest web log title is ‘no aliens involved.’ This is the subject I would like to address today—alien involvement.
Lafe, the statement ‘no aliens involved’ is false. Aliens are involved with everything and they influence and direct everything. Everything we do in life is either in order to please the aliens or defy the aliens. Also, we do these things simply because they are not only aliens, they are alien robots. Many fear them, but those who understand them just fight them. Which are you, lafe? Do you fear or fight?
Let me tell you something about alien robots: they will kill and they will fight. They are not our friends. They put it in peoples’ heads that we should fight and give diamond rings. They also are responsible for both republicans and democrats. That’s right both trent lott and harry reid are spawns of alien robotic culture. What do you think of that, lafedog?
Lafe, did you know why we have thanksgiving? It is to celebrate the pilgrim’s escape from the clutch of evil alien robots. Every year we celebrate thanksgiving and the alien robots are hurt and scared and reminded of their inferiority to the heights and meaning of the human spirit.
Lafe, tomorrow I’m going to see the tree lighting at Lincoln center. This tree lighting is done in order to send signals of warning to alien robots. They will not invade again unless we let them. So we stay strong. Also, later in the evening I’m going to see Chris Thile in the East Village. His music mimics alien robots in a satirical, intelligent way. I will let you know more about it once it is all accomplished. I must go now and prepare myself. I suggest you do the same…

So Stevie...
I have been thinking about your robotic blogs while I am preparing to write an essay for one of my classes. Our essay task is to discuss the struggle between an individual's identity and that imposed by the state or society. Now, I am not sure if Deltar’s alien robot logic was designed to find its way into this topic, but your words make me curious.
"Aliens are involved with everything and they influence and direct everything. Everything we do in life is either in order to please the aliens or defy the aliens...Many fear them, but those who understand them just fight them.”
Can an individual have an identity separate from that imposed by the state or society? Are aliens the cultural identities that control us unless we become conscious of their power? Everyone, Your thoughts would be appreciated.

interesting
melinda,
i appreciate your thoughts. i will not define my words. i will not define what is meant by them. like any good piece of modern art they invite the viewer to interpret for his or her self the deeper meaning. this is the beauty of such art. it is not manipulative; moreover, the artist intentionaly does not convey the exact meaning, as good art carries different meanings for different people. the amalgamation of your experience makes art mean something different than what the sum of my experience makes art mean for me. you'll notice that Joseph Smith became a lot like this in his later years as he gave piece-meal revelations instead of the detailed, earlier directives and doctrines and covenants. this invites the worshiper to interpret for his or her self what exactly God is and what exactly the finer points of His gospel contain.
so, in answer to your question, i choose not to comment. all i can say is that alien robots are involved in everything and they influence and direct everything. Everything we do in life is either in order to please the aliens or defy the aliens...
but i also want you to know that alien robots actually exist and they can attack you if they want.
lafe: you're welcome.
oh family: did you notice the chiasmus structure of the first four comments? i have poetry running through my veins.
stick it to the man. i like that libby. yes, we should stick it to the man. you see how my art is helping you grow your own interpretations? invitation not manipulation. now only if pop culture can do the same...
