beware all ye...

ok, this is just a test. i'm not sure about the blogging thing. do i get into it and then spend all my time just making my blog look good? do i take away from quality sleep/relaxation time? the only reason i would do it is to hook up the family device with quick information so my dad will stop complaining about my lack of letter writing. so i will give the family a moment's time to let me know if i should keep this blog going. i've got more to share, but it has to wait until i see whether this will be worth my time. so paul, amy, libby, jonny, melinda, vicki, pat, tracy, hannah, dj, lafe, etc. you better show me this is what you want. please leave your comments and tell me what you think

ps: the above pic is what i think about dad's recommendations about my future life.

I enjoy reading a well written thread with good posts. All the better if the topic is 'family'. I also think that the more we Frandsen's move about the country, the more useful it would be to have a forum like this to make fun of each other and give well intentioned but probably unwanted advice. Carry on el stevo.

uh, not quite what i would have expected or liked, family. but, what can you do? it seems everyone but paul is too technically challenged to log on and leave comments. you may leave comments by clicking on anonymous and you don't have to sign on. you just have to type in those weird looking numbers.

Hi Stephen and co. Melinda (dinda) here. I am happy to announce that this is the first blog I have ever written. After some debate I decided to give this blogging thing a try. I must admit that I felt a bit intimidated to enter this arena of communication. It is a liberating and confusing feeling to bypass any sort of structure and just start typing. What is a blog anyway?
Amy described blogging as "delayed instant messaging," and my first *(and last) attempt to enter the I.M. world ended with embarrassment. I was in 10th or 11th grade messaging the “oh-so-cute” Jonny Frandsen. Little did I know that somewhere in the middle of our messages your dad took Jonny's spot and he went to practice. I still don’t know how long I typed to him instead of Jonny, thinking that it was Jonny...I'm sure it was very funny. When identities were revealed the embarrassment was enough to drive me away from the I.M. trend. It was probably for the better. But I guess time consuming temptations do resurface in different forms, so here I sit in the BYU library--blogging.
It is good to be blogging to you, your alter ego Deltar, and everyone else who is participating in this cyber forum. I have felt a bit sad that the distance between Utah and New York has kept me from getting to know you and your alter ego better. So, I thought that I would let you know that in an attempt to learn more about Deltar I turned to google. Surprisingly, google seemed to be just as uninformed about the god of Saturn’s rings as I am. For some reason that made me feel better.
I have enjoyed reading your latest blog discussion during the past few heritage nights. I like this blog thing. It makes one feel like they are on “the inside,” kind of like intercepting and reading a note that was passed in a 2nd grade classroom (except that I have been given permission to read it- at least I hope I have). Have you intercepted any notes from the students in your classroom? If so, what do you do with them? I have always wondered.
Stay safe.
:) Melinda
