boston, snow, and bombs

so here are a bunch of pictures that i don't want to explain. some of them are of libby. some of them are of us in boston. some of them are of the big snow storm. ryan (my jerk roomate) and i dug the car out of the snow tonite. while we are enjoying our snow day in nyc, peter is in puerto rico with marc's girly. what will happen?

some things to look for this coming week: 24, peter's return, my last week of school before the break, 52 degrees on thursday, the twins' good health, and the word 'modernity' (marc, you owe me $5).

peace, ya'll

jonny: are you and mel going to post your letter on your web log? do it. the band is a no-go. what can you do? check out the flickr pics for more of libby and dj.

peter: i'm not miserating so you need not comiserate.

get into paul's flickr site and i'm listed as his family.

peace

paul said...

sorry i haven't commented. the link to your site wouldn't work from here brother...

jonny: stephen be embarrassed to admit it, but he is the 'nychipster' on flickr.

i think we are leaning toward bekah and abby. amy always liked bekah. i'm not sure where i stand. i think i like abbi better, but maybe i don't. abby is great as well.

the textbook is getting closer. i turned in my second chapter a couple weeks ago and i'm in the process of getting pictures for it now. we have a course in park city first week of march

deltar: it's good to have your site back. i don't know why i couldn't access it from here for a few days. and what's with the mullets. van gogh definitely outrank mullet man.

i still can't figure out why you named, stephy new york chipster. is this an old family nick-name, "chipster," like raw-raw egg?

Wow, Stephen I am impressed that you actually dug your car out. I don't recall you "digging out" the front walk. Patty

steve,

If "modernity" really is a word (and I still highly doubt it), then I believe I owe you elevendy billion dollars, not $5.

paul said...

petey: if you look closer. stephen is the 'nyc hipster'. i can't tell if you knew that or where poking fun at mine (and therefore stephen's) expense.

Stevie... you should be nicer to your roommate, Ryan. Sounds like a good guy to me.

Jonny... the names are pretty much Abby and Bekah. As Stephen mentioned, I guess the names will be up for review by the girls if they wish to change them in the future. But for now, the parents rule.

Petey... I prefer rah-rah egg... it sits better in my stomach than raw-raw egg.

Stevie... we can't wait to see you.

Stephen said...

paul: peter was only poking fun at your expense. i have no expense.

amy: i guess i like abby instead of abbi. but actually, i kind of like abbi more. but, i guess uncles don't rule, eh?

paul: mullets always outrank anything, even if its van gogh or pollock.

jonny: good to see you in the dominion. and i am quite the chipster.

amy: you have no idea about ryan. he's the biggest jerk ever, kind of like skinny.

Stephen said...

ma: i like the fact that you are also in the dominion. i guess digging the walk out was never vital to my interests....

marcy marc: two words "dictionary.com" (is that actually one word? or is it three? is .com one word? or two?).

paul said...

in this case i believe mothers rule.

i wonder what libby thinks...

have you all seen 'walk the line'? i thought it outstanding. true art. amy hated it. she didn't walk out because it was valentines day and she loves me.

have you heard jonny cash cover trent reznor's 'hurt'? did i say trent reznor?

happy olympics.

libby have you seen 'states of grace' yet? i can't blame stevie and petey because they don't live in utah county...

paul said...

at the shops at riverwoods:

God's Army 2: States of Grace
(1:15, 4:15) 7:10, 10:00

at least until thursday...i believe it will still show on fri and sat but with new times. see: http://deseretnews.com/movies/theater/view/1,1260,131:3,00.html

Stephen said...

paul: you will not use this web log as a platform for this type of garbage.

i did see walk the line. good. reminded me of ray. also, marc, my friend, is dating kaedi and she looks exactly like reese witherspoon. lucky....

paul said...

garbage?

have you heard hurt? better than any 'country' music you've thrown at me...

it hurts that you don't value my opinions brother.

paul said...

for garbage see 'midstride'

petey said...

i don't even know where/how to get in on this one. i feel like i've been outta the loop though.

a couple of things though. paul, no more dutcher please. i value your opinions, by my opinion of a respected cousin drops everytime you mention him. and since i won't stand for the defammation of family, i begging you to cease your incessant dutcher cheer-squad. leave the cheering to those siblings that have the training.

marcy_
modernity? are you serious? you didn't think that was a word? dude, i would to take you money any day in word betting. first word: truthiness. whata you think, word or un-word?

petey said...

hail, hail to the new york chipster!!!

petey said...

without the chipster, where would i find my constant supply of young/old single momo women??

Stephen said...

paul: what is hurt? is it garbage? if so i like it.

midstride is art, not garbage.

the chipster is me and i am peter's supplier.

petey: you should be ashamed of yourself.

paul said...

petey and stevie: you haven't seen the movie. your defamation without understanding displays deep ignorance.

and remember, i tolerated your obsessive adulation of 'new york doll'.

i listen to your music petey--give me a chance

paul said...

try it on for size:

petey said...

i gave dutcher a chance. it you don't like two albums of a band, i'm not gonna force a third on you. my opinion has not been formed blindly, but rather dutcher has provided me ample reason to dispel on redemptive movie, particularly to a sequel of gargage.

paul said...

the sequel has very little to do with the first movie.

example: amy really disliked the first movie and loved the second.

don't get me wrong, i like you music and will continue to hear your suggestions.

Stephen said...

paul: jonny cash is good. walk the line was good. your little music video was, while kind of cheesey, also good. but don't force dutcher on us. has anyone else seen this movie? can they vouch for paul's adulation of it?

Stephen said...

paul: i owe you my apologies. i was simply disagreeing to disagree and because i thought it was funny. you were serious. i enjoyed dutcher's brigham city movie. also, i once went to a day long conference where dutcher was one of the panelists. he portrayed himself as a serious film maker concerned about his craft. he answered questions and posed ideas in a way that should earn him respect and support. so: i will go next week when i'm in the utah.

but, i still think you should side with new york doll. not much is better.

paul said...

i will repent and see new york doll.

about new york, joseph smith said, "This day I have been walking through the most splended part of the Cikty of New York--the buildings are truly great and wonderful to the astonishing of every beholder...can the great God of all the Earth...be displeased with man for all these great inventions...my answer is no.

however he also said, "Nothing but the dress of the people makes them look fair and butiful...Their is something in every countinance that is disagreable with few exceptions."

(p. 189, JS RSR)

this quote doesn't leave you off the hook petey. and where are the other members of deltar's family?

paul said...

Art is supposed to be aesthetically pleasing. So if I were a mullet man's wife, I guess I could consider a picture of my husband art. So Stephen, if you consider the mullet man a great specimen of art, I would guess that the NYC life style is rubbing off onto your artistic preferences. Either that or you are stuck between tradition and modernity.

Amy and Paul: How are Becca, Bekah, Bekkah, Becka, and Abbi, Abby, Abbie, Abbe? We want to see more pictures on utahlife! :)

paul said...

unfortunately we can't add anymore pictures until march 1st (i used up all my downloading bandwidth).

Stephen said...

paul: time to get a pro account.

mel mel: i enjoyed how you so daftly used the word modernity. very nice.

jonny: where are your follow-up comments?

Stephen said...

i think i meant deftly....

Stephen said...

alliterations are good too.

paul said...

stevie: that was a daft recovery.

lafe said...

bluh your all lame

Stephen said...

lafe: are you back in the fray? you've been out of the circle for quite a while. kind of a strange way to come back into the world of web logging?

why don't you think of something constructive instead?

paul: i am daft.
